THE NIGER DELTA CRUSADERS, THE MUSLIM PILGRIMS AND THE UNITED STATES OF NIGERIA (PART 1)
"If Boko Haram kills Christians and burns down churches, we will slay Muslims and raze down mosques. We want to warn them that we, the Niger Delta youths, in this 21st century will not accept the killing of innocent Christians or the burning of churches. That if they try it in the north or any part of Nigeria, we the Niger Delta youths will not see any Muslim or mosque in the Niger Delta”- NIGER DELTA REVOLUTIONARY CRUSADERS, VANGUARD NEWSPAPER, 5th AUGUST, 2016.
It is no longer news that the new leader of Boko Haram, Mr. Abu Musa Al Barnawi, who apparantly has the backing of ISIS, has said that he will target only Christians and burn down all the Churches in the country.
He has also said that Muslims and mosques will no longer be targetted and that Mr. Abubakar Shekau, the erstwhile leader and principal voice of the terror group, is no longer the leader.
Mr. Shekau has responded by saying that he will continue to slaughter whoever he pleases and that he remains the authentic leader. There appears to be a very serious rift in the ranks of Boko Haram which is good news.
As far as I am concerned the two factions can do us all a favour by destroying one another and burning in hell.
Anyone that targets Christians and Churches, or indeed any innocent civilians for slaughter, is not worthy of life. They are nothing but vermin and, like the cockroaches that they are, they must be crushed.
Mr. Shekau is evil but Mr. Al Barnawi is even worse: he is the devil incarnate. He represents ISIS and we all know what that means.
Whichever way we look at it and whatever is going on within the ranks of Boko Haram we must not loose sight of the bigger picture. And that bigger picture points to one thing: Nigeria is in a mess.
Quite apart from the poverty and hardship that has afflicted the land coupled with the total destruction of the economy and quite apart from the shattering of peoples dreams and the drastic reduction in their standard of living by the ineffectual and barren fiscal and economic policies of an inept and incompetent government, our President did not stop there.
He also went as far as to appoint as his Minister of Sports a man who is clearly (to use Donald Trump's words about Hilary Clinton) "unbalanced and unhinged".
This is a man that can barely speak english and who, during the week of the Olympics, publicly referred to our country as "the United States Of Nigeria" whilst reprimanding our Olympic football team for getting stuck in America and arriving late in Brazil.
Someone should tell Honorable Minister Solomon Dalung that it was HIS job to get our boys to Rio De Janeiro on time and that it was something of a scandal and a national embarrasment that it took the last minute intervention and assistance of Delta Air, a private American airline, to get them there in time for their match with Japan.
Whilst our boys did us proud by going on to defeat Japan and later Sweden, the video of the Minister disparaging them and spouting nonsense about some fictitious and imaginary country called 'the United States of Nigeria' whilst wearing his ridiculous red beret went viral on the internet. A fool goes by no other name.
In normal climes the Minister would have been forced to resign the following day and he would have been compelled to apologise to the nation that he is purportedly serving for forgetting its name. Sadly though there is nothing that is "normal" about Nigeria or the Buhari administration.
Equally abysmal was the recent outing of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, President Buhari's "super Minister" of Power, Works and Housing, on BBC TV's Hardtalk.
Before millions of viewers from all over the world, the Minister told his host Mr. Stephen Sackhur a shameless and pernicious lie by claiming that he never promised Nigerians an increase in power generation and supply.
It is his inability to be forthright, to appreciate the virtues of telling the truth and to keep his election promises that has earned my aburo Tunde Fashola the nickname of Minister of Darkness.
Since he was appointed 'super Minister' the power generation in our country has dropped from 5000 megawatts at the time when President Jonathan left office just over a year ago to under 2000 megawatts today. Worst still he has not managed to construct or complete the refurbishment of a single road.
Yet it is not the crippled economy, the erring and dim-witted Minister of Sports, the intellectually dishonest and lying Minister of Power, Works and Housing or any of the other numerous foibles of the Buhari administration that gives us the most concern today.
It is rather the gradual and systematic generation and invocation of a frightful and cataclysmic atmosphere of war and the looming threat and increasing likelihood of a great and violent ethnic and religious conflict, the likes of which Africa has never seen before.
If it is not Boko Haram that is slaughtering our people it is the Fulani herdsmen. Worse still they are doing these despicable things with the active connivance and support of a few people that are in the corridors of power today whose objective is to islamise our nation, plunge us into a fiery abyss and create chaos.
The bible says 'there is no fellowship between light and darkness'. We have said it before and we will say it again: we must restructure Nigeria before it is too late. If we fail to do so we will have no choice but to reconsider our so-called unity.
If things don't change quickly we must consider the possibility of dividing our country and renegotiating our union.
We cannnot afford to wait any longer because we are playing with fire and we are sitting on a keg of gunpowder. We must attempt to do whatever needs to be done peacefully and we must not allow the butchers and those that kill in the name of their god to provoke us into another civil war.
Nothing represents the danger of the war that is looming more than the response of the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders (an affliate of the Niger Delta Avengers) to Al Barnawi's threat.
They responded by saying that if Christians and Churches are targetted by Boko Haram they will kill all the Muslims in the Niger Delta area and they will burn down all the mosques. It is a simple case of "action" and "reaction" and I sincerely hope that those that are use to killing others and not being killed themselves take them seriously.
Clearly we are living in dangerous times and I sincerely hope that those that brought religion into our politics in 2015 and that used Islam and the Boko Haram offensive as a political tool against a southern Christian President are seeing the fruits of their labour.
When you invoke the proverbial genie and let it out of the kettle you must be prepared to live with the consequences and whatever follows.
Yet the folly does not stop there. As if our sensibilities were not already sufficiently provoked President Buhari took the religious dance to yet another level last week by directing the Central Bank of Nigeria to sell foreign exchange to Muslim pilgrims that were on their way to Saudi Arabia for hajj at 197 naira to 1 USD.
This whilst everyone else, including students, manufacturers, businessmen, Christian pilgrims, the ailing and holiday-makers, must continue to buy at 400 naira to 1 USD. When the math is done this amounts to a whooping N7.9 billion naira concession for Muslim pilgrims.
And all this in a country that is not only impoverished and whose people are suffering from the worst economic hardship and poverty crunch since independence but also one that is meant to be a secular state.
Such is the national outrage that President Buhari's forex concession to his Muslim brothers and sisters has provoked that a well-known political commentator and activist Mr. Paul Achalla wrote the following on his Facebook wall on August 5th:
"N410 to $1 for business, education, entrepreneurship, food processing, manufacturing, etc. and N197 to $1 for pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia? Bluntly put, Boko Haram ideology won Nigeria's 2015 general election!!!"
Paul Achalla is right. How can this sort of nonsense be justified in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-religious secular state? Is Buhari's Nigeria crafted only for the Muslim north? Is Saudi Arabia now the spiritual headquarters of our nation?
If it is not the Sultan of Sokoto declaring public holidays, it is the President giving subsidised rates of foreign exchange and preferential treatment to members of his own religious faith.
If it is not that he is leading our country into a sinister and dangerous military coalition of Sunni Muslim nations it is that he is holding conferences in Abuja with foreign Muslim clerics whose stated objective is to "spread sharia throughout Nigeria" and islamise our country.
Worst still virtually all his Service Chiefs and principal commanders in his Armed Forces together with his National Security Advisor, his Minister of Defence, his Minister of Internal Affairs, his Inspector General of Police, his Chief of Defence Intelligence, his Director General of State Security, his Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, his Commander of the National Civil Defence Corps, his Comptroller General of Customs, his Comptroller General of Immigration, his Comptroller General of Prisons and ALL his other security, para-security and intelligence agencies, bar one, are northern Muslims.
Can there be any greater form of corruption, abuse of power, injustice and betrayal of trust than this? Does this not prove the fact that our country is in dire need of restructuring? (TO BE CONTNUED).

His words: “My next step is that I am done with Nigeria for now. You can’t keep going to a place where they don’t appreciate you. It does not worth it. Sometimes it is not about the money but the approach. They seem not to appreciate the sacrifices.
“I know how much I have sacrificed since the team began camping two years ago. How can you keep going to people who don’t appreciate you? It does not make sense, so I am done for now.
“I have to go somewhere else where they will appreciate what I have done and what I can do and pay me the respect that I deserve.”

IF I WERE THE GOVERNOR OF ENUGU STATE… BY KEN ANORUO ; A BARRISTER AND A LEGAL PRACTITIONER
*FULANI HERDS MEN'S LUNACY*:
Come on! Give me the governor's seat. The recklessness and rascality of these blood thirsty barbarians called fulani herds men have of a truth gone out of hands and must stop. Over the years, we have preached peace and unity but it is obvious they don't have those words in their vocabulary. As things are now, it is obvious that some highly placed individuals are indeed behind these senseless killings. It is obvious that some guys in both the state and political corridor have a lot to gain from this state of nature where life has become nasty, brutish and short.
If not so, how come no arrest has been made ?The last time this happened in Enugu State, the governor declared some days of fasting and prayer. Whether it was for God to accept the souls of the innocent citizens murdered shamelessly in their homes before the watchful eyes of those who were charged to protect their lives and property, for no offense. Or for God to send His Angels to protect Enugu State and other victim states. Whichever be the case, now another one has happened. This time a seminarian, a pregnant woman and many others. If I were the governor, I would place an out right ban on grazing activities of any kind in Enugu state. If I were the governor I would ban, with immediate effect, the sales of beef (cow meat) in Enugu state. If I were the governor, I would embark on an immediate registration of every Hausa/Fulani resident in Enugu state. If only I were the Governor. Come on! Give me the governor's seat for just a day, what the hell is all these ?

THE BIOGRAPHY OF UMARU MUSA YAR'ADUA
Yar’Adua was born to an elite Fulani family, and his birth
place was an important centre of Islamic learning. His family was prominent in both traditional and modern politics; his father served as a federal minister during the First Republic (1960–66), and his late elder brother, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, served in the military government of 1976–79. Yar’Adua received a university education at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. From 1975 to 1983 he taught in various colleges and a polytechnic school before becoming a businessman, serving in management and as a director of many companies.
Yar’Adua first entered party politics as a mobilizer for the (now defunct) People’s Redemption Party. During the long transition program (1989–93) to restore the Nigerian government to civilian rule, he became a founding member of the Peoples’ Front, a political association led by his elder brother, which eventually became the core of the (now defunct) Social Democratic Party. Yar’Adua began concentrating on state politics in 1991, when he stood as a candidate in the Katsina state gubernatorial election, which he lost. Seven years later Yar’Adua participated in the founding of the K34 political association, which later merged with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He again ran for governor, winning election in 1999 and reelection in 2003. As state governor, he focused on the socioeconomic development of his state, with particular attention to the educational and health sectors, and was known for being financially prudent: not only did he pay down the huge state debt that he had inherited, but he also accumulated a $50 million surplus in the treasury.
To the surprise of many, in 2006 Yar’Adua was selected by the Nigerian president and PDP leader, Olusegun Obasanjo, to be the PDP’s candidate in the presidential elections scheduled for the next year. Although Yar’Adua ran against several well-known and popular Nigerian military leaders and politicians, he went on to win a decisive landslide victory with 70 percent of the vote in the April 2007 election. His victory was clouded, however, as the election was marred by widespread violence, voter intimidation, and reports of vote rigging and was strongly criticized by domestic and international observers. Nonetheless, on May 29, 2007, in the capital of Abuja, he was inaugurated as Nigeria’s 13th president. The ceremony had particular historical significance, as it was the first time in the country’s history that an elected civilian head of state had handed over power to another.
Yar’Adua faced the enormous task of maintaining the development programs begun by his predecessor, establishing peace and reconciliation in the Niger delta, and continuing the war against widespread systemic corruption. He was subject to rumours regarding his health, as he had traveled abroad for medical treatment several times in the years prior to his presidency and continued to do so after his election. Yar’Adua’s ability to serve while dealing with health issues was called into question after he went to Saudi Arabia in late November 2009 for treatment of heart problems and kidney problems. After he had been absent from Nigeria for several weeks, critics complained of a power vacuum in the country, and there were calls for Yar’Adua to formally transfer power to the vice president, Goodluck Jonathan. Although a ruling by a Nigerian court on Jan. 29, 2010, indicated that Yar’Adua was not obligated to hand over power to the vice president while he was out of the country for medical treatment, the controversy surrounding his prolonged absence remained. On Feb. 9, 2010, the National Assembly voted to have Jonathan assume full power and serve as acting president until Yar’Adua was able to resume his duties. Jonathan agreed and assumed power later that day, but it was unclear whether or not the assumption of power was constitutional. When Yar’Adua returned to Nigeria on Feb. 24, 2010, it was announced that Jonathan would remain as acting president while Yar’Adua continued to recuperate. Yar’Adua never fully recovered, however, and died several weeks later. He was succeeded by Jonathan.

CHARITY AND WELFARISM ; A DUTY FOR ALL, NOT FOR THE GOVERNMENT ALONE, WITH GINA MENSAH ; AN ACTRESS AND A MODEL
In the past, both government and individual citizens were known for their genuine and kind gestures towards the less privileged in the society. But today, it’s a mere publicity stunt and electioneering campaign strategy to win votes, undermining the actual pain and suffering these said individuals pass through on daily basis to survive the cruelty of this world; ranging from homelessness, disabilities, hunger, joblessness, infirmities, rejection/neglect etc. It is therefore wicked and ungodly to see people aggravate their suffering and mock their existence by faking kindness, diverting funds meant for their welfare or using them for cheap political scores.
The Nigerian government is duty- bound to take care of all her citizenry, most especially the ones that require care the most, i.e. the less privileged, although we may differ on who qualifies as less privileged, but lets accept the fact that anybody not able to meet his basic needs is less privileged, whether able or disabled, and should be catered for in any way suitable to reinstating his human dignity, either through gainful employment, scholarship, entrepreneurial skill/setup, etc. While those of intensive care, such as orphans, old people, poor pensioners, disabled, the sick etc should be drafted into a government welfare schemes like a social security scheme. We also enjoin good meaning Nigerians to get involved in the process as government cannot do it all. We all must lend a helping hand.

SEX EDUCATION : WHY SOME LADIES HAVE LUST FOR MEEN …, WITH GINA MENSAH ; AN ACTRESS AND A MODEL
A FEW REASONS WHY WOMEN LUST AFTER GUYS
If we look at this issue from a logical point of view, the fact that women generally love bigger penis sizes has nothing to do with how religious or decent she is! Women’s preference for men with bigger than average size penises has to do with the amount of sexual
pleasure that she is going to receive during sexual intercourse.
Of course in the eyes of a woman, a big manhood looks a lot more better than a
tiny one... This is similar to the
way guys like big breasts and big buttocks …
but you see unlike men that like it purely just because of appearance, women’s preference for bigger packages in men goes beyond just the visual excitement alone! Every woman would tell you that
sex with guy with a big manhood is so much more
enjoyable and sweeter than with a man that has a tiny size. This is basically as a result of the anatomy of the
vagina. A bigger penis has more surface area which means it has the ability to stimulate more sexual pleasure nerves and spots around and deep into the vagina. Maybe you are an advocate of using your tongue (oralsex) and fingers (fingering) to please a woman and help her achieve orgasms... yes
that works too!
However, you need to bear it in mind that vaginal orgasms are much more powerful than
clitoralorgasms. Give a woman a
vaginal orgasm and she wouldrespect and become submissive
to you. This is simply because
vaginal orgasms are much more
explosive, enjoyable and longer lasting than clitoral orgasms
(which you can help a woman achieve using your tongue or
fingers!). Vaginal orgasms are
achieved by a dual combination
of stimulating her vagina and
clitoris at the same time… and
a small penis cannot do this!
Only a penis that is thick and
long enough can do this !
Just like we both love women
with big buttocks, wide hips and
big breasts so it is with women
and big dicks! Just the mere
sight of an erect big penis
sexually excites a woman and
makes her body much more
willing to achieve orgasms after
orgasms this is similar to the way
a lady with massive boobs
just merely shaking her boobs in
a seductive manner causes
almost every guy to become horny! So a man with a massive “
package” instantly sets so many
women in the mood for
penetration!

LMC FLIES FOR STAY OF EXCECUTION OF COURT ORDER ON REINSTATEMENT OF GIWA FC… ASKS APPEAL COURT TO STAY ASIDE
The League Management Company (LMC) on Tuesday, August 23 filed an appeal against the Plateau State High Court order asking it to reinstate Giwa FC to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The LMC, in its appeal filed by Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN),aying the Court of Appeal to set aside the interim order of the Plateau State High Court, Jos on several grounds of law and challenging the jurisdiction of the lower court to have granted the orders in the first place.
In a related development, the League organizers also made an appearance through its counsel, Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN), before the High Court in Bukuru, near Jos-Plateau State presided over by MR Justice I.I Kunda and filed a motion urging the court to stay further action on the orders it issued last week.
It will be recalled that the order was made by the lower court in the suit filed by one Mustapha Abubakar, who claims to be suing for himself and Giwa FC, asking the Court to direct LMC to restore Giwa FC to the NPFL and reschedule all matches of the club, among other prayers.
But a new twist to the suit emerged when Giwa FC wrote to LMC to categorically dissociates itself from the suit filed by the said Mustapha Abubakar. In its letter to LMC, dated 22nd August, 2016, Giwa FC stated that it is not a party to the suit and has not instructed anybody to file a case on its behalf and, therefore, distance itself from the case entirely.
Giwa FC's disavowal of the suit is in compliance with the Written Undertaking that all Clubs in the NPFL individually signed and gave to LMC agreeing not to take any matter concerning NPFL to the ordinary courts, but rather to be subject to and be bound by the internal dispute resolution processes of NPFL and football governance, generally. This undertaken is one of the critical conditions demanded of any club or persons applying to participate in football activities globally
.
The LMC gave five grounds for the appeal which included lack of jurisdiction by the Jos High Court to hear the matter since the two principal defendants, the LMC and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reside in Abuja and that the acts complained about which is the hearings and expulsion of Giwa FC also took place in Abuja.
A second ground of appeal filed by the counsel to the LMC was that the Jos High Court Judge who granted the order as a Vacation Judge is only entitled to hear cases of urgency and there must be an affidavit of urgency filed with the papers to show the facts of such urgency before the court can hear the matter. The LMC contend that there was no such affidavit of urgency and therefore it was wrong for the court to have heard the matter and grant orders as it did.
The LMC further averred in the appeal that it was also wrong of the Judge to have heard the case as a fundamental human rights case since Giwa FC Limited, the owner and operator of the football club and the football club itself cannot have fundamental human rights. “The law is settled in Nigeria that only natural persons and not corporate persons can have fundamental human rights. This point, additionally, goes to the lack of jurisdiction of the court to hear the case”, the LMC stated in the appeal papers.
The body further argued in the appeal that “In law, only a company can sue for itself for wrongs allegedly done to the company. Any person suing on behalf of a company must have the resolution of the company authorising that person to do so. That condition has not been fulfilled in this case”.
Giwa FC's letter buttresses and is a confirmation of LMC's position from the beginning that the said Mustapha Abubakar is an interloper, who has no dealings or connection whatsoever with LMC or the subject matter of Giwa FC's expulsion from NPFL, a decision which was reached with strict compliance with due process and the relevant provisions of the Framework and Rules of NPFL, 2015/2016 Season.
LMC said yesterday that it will continue to explore all legal processes available to have this vexatious and frivolous suit thrown out of the judicial system.

A DRUNK POLICE OFFICER BEATS AND THEATENS PASSENGERS IN MAIDUGURI
ATTENTION BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE, BENUE STATE COMMAND
This policeman, Mobile Unit on duty yesterday at about 2pm at Igyula along Gboko-Aliade Road took alcohol to stupor and was seriously misbehaving by threatening road users with the gun.
I tried getting his service number and name but his jacket covered the tags.
I saw him assured a commercial driver that he would have wasted his life by shooting him dead if it was at night, just because the driver told him that he does not have money to settle them.
He added that in Maiduguri, a driver can't waste a policeman's time to begin to explain that he doesn't have money for settlement; the police will just shoot the driver dead and throw him in the bush.
He warned the driver not to say a pleading word again rather than quietly settle them. One of the passengers who saw how the driver's vehicle has been having faults while they were coming gave him N30 to give to the policeman and plead further.
When the driver removed the N30 to give to the policeman, he asked him how much it was. The driver replied him that it's N30. The policeman became infuriated and started beating up the driver with his gun. He said the driver has insulted him by giving him N30.
His colleagues intervened but could not stop him. They told this reporter that their superior colleague is drunk and confessed he has been behaving like that since morning. According to them, they can't stop him because he is their superior.
I write this to request the Nigerian Police Force to call Gboko Command to trace this unprofessional policeman on duty yesterday at Igyula Community along Gboko-Aliade Road using the attached pictures. Those plying that route should also take caution in order not to risk their lives.
In the second picture below with money on ground in front of the policeman, he was doing so while trying to prove to the driver that he has enough money and not hungry enough to collect N30 from him.

I HANDED OVER A COUNTRY THAT HAS THE RICHEST MAN IN AFRICA… GEJ REPLIES TO CRITICS
I didn't hand over a collapsed nation to Buhari - Jonathan
Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has replied his critics who accused him of handing over a nation at the verge of collapse to his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari.
Jonathan recounted the achievements of his government to include, handing over a country that produced the richest man in Africa.
Jonathan said, “I took over a Nigeria that was the second largest economy in Africa with a GDP of $270.5 billion in 2009,
I handed over a Nigeria that had grown to become the largest economy in Africa and the 24th largest economy in the World with a GDP of $574 billion.
“I inherited a Nigeria in which the trains were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in which citizens can safely travel by trains again.
I inherited a Nigeria that was a net importer of cement, and handed over a Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement.
In 2009 the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that produced the richest man in Africa.
”The former President stated that democracy will continue to grow in the African continent if leaders value the process of elections more than the product of the process.
He said, “Even in the 2015 general elections in my country, Nigeria, there was potential for major crisis if I was not a President duly elected by the will of the people.
“The campaigns leading to the elections almost polarized the country into Christian v Muslims and North v South divide.
Most World leaders were worried that our elections will result into major crisis. Some pundits even from here in the United States said that those elections would spell the end of Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a nation because of the polls.
“That is where the leadership question comes into play. As a leader that was duly elected by the people, I considered the people’s interest first.
How do I manage my people to avoid killings and destruction of properties? With the interest of the people propelling all the decisions I took, we were able to sail through. “Indeed, we sail through because I refused to interfere with the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, having appointed a man I had never met in my life to run it.
My philosophy was simple. For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must value the process more than the product of the process. And the citizens must have confidence in the electoral body.

REMEMBER THE FAJUYI SPIRIT, STOP KILLING THE IGBOs AND DIVIDE NIGERIA ! FEMI FANI-KAYODE CHARGES NIGERIA GOVERNMENT.
THE FAJUYI SPIRIT
Fifty years ago today, on July 29th 1966, a man by the name of Lt. Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi gave his life in defence of our country and the then Head of State, General Johnson Thomas Aguiyi-Ironsi.
His killers were a group of northern army officers who participated in the so-called northern "revenge coup" of July 29th 1966.
No less than 300 Igbo army officers were slaughtered that night together with a handful of yoruba soldiers, including Fajuyi.
Lt. Col. Fajuyi was a yoruba man who opted to die in defence of an igbo Head of State. This was not only honorable and courageous but it was also unique and unprecedented.
He was a selfless hero and a man that we shall honor and immortalise in the new Nigeria that is to come.
Those that murdered him, General Aguiyi-Ironsi and the famous 300 in cold blood that night are still running the affairs of our country till today. They determine who is who and who gets what. They decide who our President will be and how long he will remain in power.
As a matter of fact their hateful hegemony and evil intentions are even more pronounced and frightful today than they were in 1966 and their grip on the levers of power in our country is even stronger.
Today they are fully in charge and some of those that actually shot Fajuyi are fully behind them.
Yet despite their intention to dominate, silence, break and destroy the rest of us one thing remains clear: the Fajuyi spirit of courage, unity, selflesness and sacrifice has been imbued by millions in the southern and Middle Belt regions of our country.
These are men and women that are prepared to stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed of our nation, whether they be Niger Deltans, Igbos, Yorubas? Middle Belters or anything else.
These are men and women that are prepared to resist the perfidious religious and ethnic agenda of the "born to rule" in our midst and that recognise the fact that they regard the rest of us as nothing but slaves.
When it comes to southern rights and interests we the Yoruba particularly must learn a lesson from our own son Fajuyi and emulate his example.
Like him, if necessary, we must be ready to sacrifice our lives and liberty in defence of any or all of our southern and Middle Belt bretheren that are facing persecution, genocide and injustice at the hands of our collective slave masters.
It is also time for us to appreciate the fact that if we truly want to be free we must extend our hand of friendship across the River Niger to the Igbo and we must see their bitter travails as being ours as well.
We must also feel the pain when an Igbo or Niger-Deltan youth is slaughtered by President Buhari's army in the name of "crushing all opposition and dissent" and "keeping Nigeria one".
We must acknowledge the fact that Nigeria cannot remain one as long as there is ethnic and religious bigotry, oppression and injustice.
We must appreciate the fact that there can never be southern, or indeed Middle Belt, emancipation without southern unity.
Fajuyi understood that point 50 years ago. Consequently he opted to resist the evil in the land and die for it. He was indeed a true martyr.
He paid the supreme price for his fellow southerner and he stood against northern adventurism, oppression, domination and hegemony.
50 years later it is time for the rest of us to do the same. It is time for us to acknowledge and honor his sacrifice and come together as one. It is time for us to stand up, look at our collective oppressors in the eye and say "no more".
No longer should we bow our heads in submission, servility and shame. It is time for us to rise up, invoke the power of the Living God and be men.
May the gallant and beautiful soul of Lt.
Col. Fajuyi continue to rest in eternal peace and may those that murdered him 50 years ago be brought to justice.

TREE MAN DISEASE FOUND IN BANGLADESH
A rare condition is turning a seven-year-old boy's hands and feet into “trees.”
Ripon Sarker from Thakurgaon, Bangladesh is suffering from a rare skin disorder caused by human papillomaviruses, an infection which results in the growth of scaly warts.
The child – who was first affected when he was only three months old - was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment for the first time on August 20. His family couldn't previously afford to pay for the medical attention required.
The warts continue to grow larger on his palm and foot, to the extent that poor Ripon cannot even walk or eat himself.
Thankfully, doctors are hopeful that his hands and feet are operable as his fingers and toes can still be identified. They explained that the child's family is extremely poor and the boy has lacked the nutrition necessary for his physical development, contributing to the “tree man disease.”

SOUTH AFRICA COMMEMORATE NATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Happy National Women’s day!
Today commemorates the 1956 march of approximately 20,000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country's pass laws that required South Africans defined as "black" under The Population Registration Act to carry an internal passport, known as a pass, that served to maintain population segregation, control urbanisation, and manage migrant labour during the apartheid era. The first National Women's Day was celebrated on 9 August 1994. In 2006, a re-enactment of the march was staged for its 50th anniversary, with many of the 1956 march veterans. At the protest in 1956, the women stood silently for 30 minutes and then started singing a protest song that was composed in honour of the occasion: Wathint'Abafazi Wathint'imbokodo!(Now you have touched the women, you have struck a rock.). In the 54 years since, the phrase (or its latest incarnation: "you strike a woman, you strike a rock") has come to represent women's courage and strength in South Africa.

BREAKING NEWS! BANCORP BANK IN THE UNITED STATES WRITES TO BUHARI;PLANS TO RETURN AMAECHI'S LOOT
Former Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has written to Bancorp Bank in Minnesota in the United States that the alleged $757 million Dollars domiciled in an account in his name; was authorized by him in error; from a Rivers State Government Account with Access Bank Plc. The Nigerian most corrupt governor according to CNN letter reveals that a similar letter was also written to a bank in Switzerland; stating that a similar authorization was made in error.
The letter stated that the said transfers to both banks were for the purchase of security Helicopters, payments to a foreign company to combat malaria in Rivers state by using helicopters to spray mosquito insecticides, and for the purchase of an official residence for Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, in America.
The letter further explains that, the payments for the security helicopters, and mosquito insecticides to fight malaria were made through other sources, after the funds had already been transferred abroad. He reminded the bank that the Rivers state law on his severance package, provides for an official residence for a former governor; of which he chose to have his residence in America.
Amaechi said that, this law was later amended to have his official residence built in Nigeria, after the funds had already been transferred to Bancorp/Minnesota Account. Mr. Amaechi said these changes were the reasons he communicated the consultants for purchase of security helicopters, his official residence in the U.S and the Insecticide companies not to access the funds; since they have been paid through other sources.
On receipt of the governor's letter by the Bancorp Bank, the bank has written to the Federal Government of Nigeria to repatriate the said funds to Rivers State treasury. Investigations further revealed that President Buhari is not disposed to this request to repatriate the said funds without a trial of the former governor; to ascertain the governor's alleged errors in these transactions.
" Why would it take Christiane Amanpour of CNN, to remind Amaechi of such errors of over N80 billion Naira public funds in two different countries, and why in his name ?" Queried the Presidency.

Muslim ladies in UK complained of discrimination at work just because they wear their 'hajab', but all way from America, Donald Trump replied them and hear him.
"When Christian or Western women go to to Islamic countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia, women must respect their custom or religion by wearing hijab or you will be beheaded, but when Arab women come to the west, they don't respect western custom or religion by removing the so called Hijab, rather the argument begins by saying 'they should be allowed to exercise their human and religious right' but while the western women are not allowed to exercise her human and religious right by not wearing Hijab in Iran or Saudi Arabia.
Who is fooling who here???
'That's crazy Arab, women want to enjoy human and religious right in the west but western women don't enjoy the same in Arab world'. @Donald J Trump

YOU AND YOUR SOCIETY, WITH KEN ANORUO; A BARRISTER AND LEGAL PRACTITIONER
1. Make friends with successful people and occasionally buy them gift and surprise them with lunch because successful people always give and hardly get, so when you give them, they value the gift a lot.
2. Get a mentor and follow his instructions and respect the relationship. Never beg your mentor for money or disrespect his or her privacy.
3. Make new positive friends as often as possible and ensure you keep the communication line open. Create a network of friends and not just connections.
5. Show kindness to everyone. Some small boys today will be big boys tomorrow. The biggest dog in the neighborhood was once a puppy. And keep the information/secret to yourself.
6. Always plan ahead and be proactive. He that plans the future work less in the future.
7. Listen to speeches and messages from great teachers. Both religious and educational.
8. Attend seminars and training on any area you need to improve yourself. Train the trainer, personal development, public speaking, sales etc.
9. Have the habit of keeping a pen and a writing pad handy because ideas come in the form of flashes. The smallest pen is bigger and better than the biggest brain.
10. Make sure at every point in time you are reading a book. If you spend 20 minutes reading daily, for 52 weeks you would have consumed 1,000,000 words.
11.Stay away from television as much as possible. You can watch educational channels. Men with big TV sits in front of them to watch men with big library.
12 Put control over your mouth, never say evil of any man, what you are not certain of should not be said. Say good of all men.
13. Always show appreciation for any good deed you received.
14. Always help someone in need.
15. Live a debt free life. What you can’t pay cash for is not your size.
16. Give out loans that you can part with as gift, so that you don’t destroy your business and relationship.
17. Create legitimate multiple source of income.
18. Save at least 10 percent of your income.
19. Invest a portion of your income. And be patient to see it grow. If what you have in your hands is not good to be called a harvest then it’s a seed, sow it.

Although, Majek tried to revive his asphyxiated career, his “demons” stood in the way of the resurrection. He is, perhaps, one of the most recognisable voices in Nigerian reggae.
Besides the popular song Send down the rain, Majek incarnated wonder in many other songs like Kpangolo, Majek inna New York, So long, Religion is Politics, Holy spirit, Little Patience, Africa Unity, and I am not afraid.

ANAMBRA ; THE SAFEST STATE IN NIGERIA, BY IFEANYI ANIAGOH
I woke to the reminder that exactly a year ago today, Obiano hosted a South East + Delta States Regional Security Summit to cleanse the region of insecurity issues that have stunted economic growth for decades in the region.
... Today, Anambra remains the Safest State in Nigeria and South East, the safest region in the country.
This is another testimony of The Power of Vision!
Below is the post I made after the life changing summit... We're #MovingForward!
...
Obiano Sets Regional Security, Economic Agenda for South East, Delta States
The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has rallied his fellow governors in the South East and Delta States to a ground-breaking Security Conference that will rid the South East and Delta region of all crimes and criminalities that have stunted economic growth for decades in the region.
Delivering a Welcome Address at the Conference which was attended by the governors of Abia, Enugu and Delta with a representative of the governor of Ebonyi State, Governor Obiano described the conference as “finest hour” and the “turning point” in the march of the people of the region to greatness.
Describing Security as the panacea for rapid economic growth and development, governor Obiano observed that mankind’s greatest worry has always been how to ensure a safe and secure world.
Said he: “Our world has never been an easy place to live in. Speaking about mankind’s never-ending struggle for a better world, the great French philosopher, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the author of The Social Contract, observed in 1762 that “man is born free, and everywhere, he is in chains.” Ladies and gentlemen, man is in a different kind of chain today,” he pointed out and further observed that despite giant leap mankind has achieved with the many wonders of science, “man remains the sole architect of his own fears.”
Reflecting on the peculiarities of the region, Governor Obiano bemoaned the fact that years of persistent assaults on the cities and communities in the South East and Delta States had driven investors away and stifled economic growth in the region.
“We have assembled here today to interrogate our circumstances; to ask ourselves hard questions and to set for ourselves a common agenda. The pertinent question we must ask ourselves is how long? How long shall the South East and Delta State and other contiguous states bear the brunt of brazen criminality and meaningless brigandage? How long shall our people’s well known enterprising spirit be driven away to nourish distant lands while our homeland wallows in squalor?” he queried, calling for a joint effort to stamp out violent crime in the region.
He recalled that there was a time Anambra State experienced waves of gang rules in the commercial city of Onitsha that were so dominant that constituted authorities felt helpless under their brutal onslaught. “The story is very much the same across the states in the region and Delta State. It may vary in degrees from one state to another but this region has had a most troubling crime history for far too long. The time has come to wipe this dark history away!” he maintained.
The governor further opined that his administration had tried to answer some of the rhetorical questions on crime in the state by wiping out kidnappers and violent criminals that once held the state hostage and opened doors for investors.
Said he: “We have freed our social and economic space for businesses to thrive along with leisure. All around Anambra, there is a new sense of freedom among our people. But our freedom cannot be complete until our neighbours begin to experience a new atmosphere of liberty. Recent experience has shown that a security threat in one location is a security threat to the surrounding regions. So, our freedom over crime will remain incomplete, so long as the armed robbers and kidnappers we drive away from Anambra State can find safety anywhere in this region,” he reasoned.
Linking security to economic development, governor Obiano argued that the five South Eastern and Delta States must fight the war against insecurity together and rip the economic benefits together. “We cannot afford the consequences of a prolonged failure in this regard in an emerging Nigeria with clearly demarcated regional economic blocks.
Calling for the emergence of a regional economic block in the South East and Delta States, governor Obiano observed that “the shrinking of spaces for migrant people across the country calls for a robust economic and social agenda that will make our people less vulnerable to increasing hostilities around the world. There is a strident call by History on every leader from this region which we cannot ignore.”
According to him therefore, “Posterity looks onto us to build a befitting economy for the South East and Delta States. And for us to even contemplate anything of that magnitude, we must first find a lasting solution to insecurity in the region. This all important Conference is therefore an economic call to arms. We must all rise to wage a successful war on insecurity as a precursor to economic prosperity and greater fulfilment.”
In their separate remarks, the governor Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and his Enugu State counterpart, Ifanyi Ugwuanyi both identified insecurity created by crime and criminality as the greatest threat to the prosperity of the region. They both were unanimous in their commendation for governor Obiano’s successful war against criminals in the state assuring that they were willing to go the extra mile to combat crime in their home states.
Also speaking, the governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa and his Ebonyi State counterpart, Engr. Dave Umahi described the move for a regional effort against insecurity as crucial to the survival of the region.
The event was attended by top security officers in the country including the Inspector General of Police who was also the chairman of the colloquium.

PATRIOTS AND PRETENDERS WITH GINA MENSA ; AN ACTRESS AND A MODEL
In every society there is always an atom of pretence and one must encounter them in their life endeavours. It is bothersome that people who pretend to be saints and messiahs are evil and destructive!
In our nation today, the pretenders and patriots exist...
Indeed there are the pretenders and the patriots.
THE PATRIOTS:
Consult a dictionary, it will tell you that "a patriot" is one who loves and defends his country. Considering the state of our dear country Nigeria, the "Patriots" are those who have preserved our democracy, who have regards for " The Rule Of Law" and see the constitution of the federal republic as supreme and basis for Nigeria's existence as a nation. The "Patriots" are those who have made giant strides in the eradication of poverty. The patriots have neoliberal political ideology, when it comes to economic policies they favour free- market policies which support economic liberalism. They have ensured that every Nigerian has access to basic health care services.
The "Patriots" have maintained the principles of federal character.
THE PRETENDERS:
In a national point of view, the pretenders are those who have strong apathy for democracy yet pronounce themselves democrats. They are careless to the yearnings of the populace and claim to be socially conservative. They hide their ulterior motives and their pretence is tantamount to destruction. These pretenders see the youths as people who are irrelevant to the Nigerian society. History describes them as those who truncated democracy and impede development, yet they are saints and see themselves as those who do what God desires and are closer to God.
They see their actions as perfect and they are allergic to public Opinion.
Sincerely speaking, the mindset of the pretenders are immature to rejuvenate the country's economy and tackle economic problems.
Their "Political Ideology" is agrarian in nature, whereas the world is turning into a global village.
Who will salvage Nigeria?

GOLDEN EAGLETS CRASH OUT IN NATION'S CUP QUALIFIER
U17 Afcon: Golden Eaglets fail to progress
Reigning world champions, Golden Eaglets of Nigeria failed to progress to the final round of qualifiers for the 2017 Africa U17 Cup of Nations after losing 1-3 to the Junior Menas of Niger Republic in Niamey on Saturday.
It was a highly charged encounter full of drama more on the stands as the Nigeriens in the full glare of security threw caution to the wind as they wrestled and seized the Video Camera of NFF staff, Mallam Munir Tijjani Shittu. The NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi was not spared either in the VIP Box as he was badly assaulted, even in the presence of Nigeria Diplomatic officials led by Ambassador Abduljelil Sulaiman.
Striker Sidibe Assoumanu gave the host the lead in the 36th minute with a pile drive just outside the box that beat a poorly positioned goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo. Usman Musa Babalolo meanwhile got the equalizer with a header barely a minute to the end of first half. The second half began with much drama as the Camerounian referee Henry Duvalier Mouandjou Kalla gave the host a freaky penalty in the 48th minute, which was converted by Mamane Bello. From then, it looked like Mountain Everest for the Eaglets to climb with repeated foul calls by the referee. With minutes left to play, the host got yet another funny free kick just outside the box which was converted by Issaka Magaji.
"This is a daylight robbery and cannot be defined in any other way because all the officials worked jointly and fully against Nigeria," lamented Golden Eaglets' assistant coach Nduka Ugbade. "What would the Nigeriens and the officials of the match be teaching their kids at home? In all my life in football, I have never seen this kind of drama but Nigerians would not be able to see the match as all our cameras were seized."

ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES BLASTS DANGOTE, OTHERS AS JAPANESE BILLIONAIRE REDEEMS PROMISE
Dear Dangote and other Nigerian Billionaires,
Did you watch the Nigerian team as they sweated it out against their Honduran opponents for the third place match? Did you see our bench? Are you not ashamed that it took a Japanese who does not have a single business interest in Nigeria to inspire our boys to the only medal Team Nigeria is coming back home in this Olympics?
Wealth is meaningless when you do not know how to expend it. Alhaji Dangote, you have more money than Dr. Takasu, but he has shown that he is richer than you.
These boys would have come home with the Olympic gold and Nigeria would have got more medals from Rio, if you guys had extended some help to them.
Truth is; you guys owe Nigeria this. You have enjoyed import waivers, done government contracts, stolen our subsidy money and benefited from the Nigerian system so much that sponsoring sports, the arts and other such areas is a debt you owe the Nigerian public, not an assistance.
We shall continue to hold Dr. Katsuya Takasu in higher esteem than we will ever hold any of you, till, and only if you will remember to encourage diligence, patriotism and talents, especially among Nigerian youths.
Did you also hear that our U-17 boys have been dumped out of the AFCON qualifiers? The first time in our history! It is more annoying when we remember that all of you have the ears of those in power. You can talk to our President and let him know that he is destroying Nigeria. He is destroying our joy and trying to blank our future. But whenever you find your way to Aso Rock, the National Assembly or any of the State Government houses, you only go their to negotiate a new import waiver, new contract, or find a way in participating in the looting of our commonwealth.
Dr. Takasu has sent a message to the entire world, that Nigeria has irresponsible billionaires. He has also come to tell the world that the wickedness, lack of vision and mediocrity that has kept Nigeria in the lowest rung of developmental ladder are not to be blamed on the political class alone, but also on you all, who have refused to stand up for Nigeria.
Sorry Sirs, but shame on you.
NIGERIA MUST PREVAIL!
