IF I WERE THE GOVERNOR OF ENUGU STATE… BY KEN ANORUO ; A BARRISTER AND A LEGAL PRACTITIONER

 Come on! Give me the governor's seat. The recklessness and rascality of these blood thirsty barbarians called fulani herds men have of a truth gone out of hands and must stop. Over the years, we have preached peace and unity but it is obvious they don't have those words in their vocabulary. As things are now, it is obvious that some highly placed individuals are indeed behind these senseless killings. It is obvious that some guys in both the state and political corridor have a lot to gain from this state of nature where life has become nasty, brutish and short.
            If not so, how come no arrest has been made ?The last time this happened in Enugu State, the governor declared some days of fasting and prayer. Whether it was for God to accept the souls of the innocent citizens murdered shamelessly in their homes before the watchful eyes of those who were charged to protect their lives and property, for no offense. Or for God to send His Angels to protect Enugu State and other victim states. Whichever be the case, now another one has happened. This time a seminarian, a pregnant woman and many others. If I were the governor, I would place an out right ban on grazing activities of any kind in Enugu state. If I were the governor I would ban, with immediate effect, the sales of beef (cow meat) in Enugu state. If I were the governor, I would embark on an immediate registration of every Hausa/Fulani resident in Enugu state. If only I were the Governor. Come on! Give me the governor's seat for just a day, what the hell is all these ?
